in a different perspective..

We left Chitkul amidst very light drizzling.

oh hell.. a rain drop on the lense..

On the way back we crossed the huge dam at Karchham

Then we entered the Kinnaur Valley again.

at stop to refuel..

distance from the pump..

a landslide stop.. notice our very own stig.. :)

The aim was to reach Tabo at the end of the day. So we cruised along, each at his own speed, occassionally stopping for a few photographs..

at the entrance to Spiti we had to show our ids..

Slowly the rain and greenary of the Kinnaur Valley starting turning into the arid, dryness of Spiti Valley..

Manik, as we crossed a bridge..

Kazigs: the Gata Loops of Spiti...

the view just got better..

Finally we reached the Nako Lake (or what we thought was the Nako Lake).. Seeing this small pool of water after travelling so much was a bit disappointing but still it made a good photo..

after a quick lunch at a dhaba nearby we were on our way..

more mountains..

It was getting late and we had much distance to cover..

we hit the accelerator and reached Tabo when it was almost dark..

distances from Tabo..

Distance travelled in the day: 256kms
Total Distance travelled: 894kms
