The planning began when someone posted a thread on www.bcmtouring.com saying that tour operators ran guided tours through Bhutan. Lots of posts, lots of information later, a plan finalized for doing Sikkim and Bhutan in the middle of the year. But soon the interested people got tied up in various things and the plan was cancelled. The thread also went dead but was revived once again and this time the trip was planned for middle of September. 5 people confirmed their participation. So one person from southern most tip of India, Trivandrum (Jithu), 3 from the westernmost part, Mumbai (Amit, Anup and Gopi) and me from the north, Delhi were all set to visit the Eastern part of India, Sikkim and its neighbor, Bhutan.
